WATCH: Kings of Leon’s Tribute to Southern Roots

It's front porch drinkin' and skeet shootin' for the Tennessee rockers in their "Back Down South" clip.

Tennessee’s Kings of Leon really cherish their Southern roots. Which is why their new video for “Back Down South” is essentially an advert for their country way of life. Watch below.

As the Followills play the song’s acoustic shuffle and lap steel riffs at a backyard party, the clip flashes through brief scenes of the essentials of Southern life: muscle cars, pickup trucks, farms, mischievous kids stealing their parents’ liquor, fireworks, skeet shootin’, and good times with the people you love the most. Which looks kinda nice, actually. SPIN’s next stop? Manchester, TN…. No, really: It’s the site of next week’s Bonnaroo. So, yep, the video worked.
