Technology has made it easy for everyone to be alone and yet connected at the same time. A particular community of loners (i.e., stoners) features in the new video from Vermont native Kyle Thomas' disarmingly soft-hearted self-titled album, the cheery garage-pop ode to wasted nights "Alone & Stoned." Thomas and all of his friends — including, according to Pitchfork, members of fellow California-based bands Hunx and His Punx, Shannon and the Clams, and more — stare at the shit in their various bedrooms, as per the song's simple-but-effective lyrics, in a low-key video that almost perfectly suits the track. Consider this King Tuff's M.O.: Underpromise, overdeliver, and bring together a like-minded community of genial introverts. Weed, it turns out, can be enjoyably twee.
