Watch Jon Spencer Blues Explosion Deliver 'Strange Baby' on 'Letterman'

"Oh my god," Letterman says

Jon Spencer Blues Explosion fought off packs of uncool zombies for the "Bag of Bones" video earlier this week, and now the New York trio plans to bring "rock'n'roll all across this nation," starting with their electric performance on the Late Show With David Letterman last night (January 11). A leather pants-cinched Spencer sweats, struts, and slinks through "Strange Baby," off 2012's Meat & Bone, dodging guitar stabs and taunting with his anachronistic speak-sing delivery the whole way through.

When Spencer isn't making the theremin behind him squeal, curling his lip completely over the microphone, or avoiding near-electrocution, he's screeching and yelping, demanding the camera's attention. Letterman's response after the tight-fisted, flickering coda? "I don't know, man," he says. "Oh my god."
