Watch: Diddy's Dirty Money Premieres New Clip
Video
The more Sean "Diddy" Combs changes, the more he stays the same.
In the video "Angel," from his new supergroup Dirty Money, the rapper is joined by the late Notorious B.I.G. (doing an opening rapover) and director Hype Williams, the mastermind behind many past Biggie/Diddy ventures. It's like 1997 all over again, except that Diddy is singing this time around, not rapping. His quietly pleasing vocals propel the clip, which features a montage of children, Harlem street shots, a praying Diddy, and -- of course -- the requisite sex scene.
What it all means, we're not sure. But we're intrigued.
Dirty Money, Diddy's new trio that also includes singer/songwriter Keelena and former Danity Kane member Dawn Richard, is getting ready to drop an album, Last Train to Paris, in November. Auto-Tune Svengali T-Pain wrote 12 of the tracks.
Says Mr. T-P of Diddy's newfound vocal style: "He's pretty good [at singing] actually, which is weird."
We couldn't have said it better. See for yourself.

I will say..That people should judge music for what it is...MUSIC!!! This song sounds like in the vain of a U2, Coldplay and SEAL type track which makes me REAlly, really respect diddy. At the end of the day music should be respected and appreciated for exactly what it is....I listened to this track 50 times....People, AUDIENCE!!! Let's stop judging who's singing and LISTEN with your ears, NOT your eyes....I am IN LOVE with the Mideastern sound it has at the end as well...Remember Stings.."desert rose"? It was an international success.....This song could be in that realm....So let's stop hating and get up and support MUSIC!!!! At the end of the day!!!
