VICE ‘Guide to Travel’

Hedonistic media giant VICE goes global with their new DVD, Guide to Tavel (out Oct. 3), which follows their correspondents (including Johnny Knoxville, David Cross, and VICE founders) as they stop in some of the world’s least desirable destinations. “We went to such far-flung locales as the Pygmy villages of the Congo, the radioactive ruins of Chernobyl, and the bomb-pocked refugee camps of Beirut so that you never, ever have to go yourself as long as you live,” Jesse Pearson, editor at VICE magazine, told SPIN.com. “We took cameras so we could prove we went.” The DVD also has an indie-riffic soundtrack, complete with a remix from recently disbanded dance-rock duo Death From Above 1979.
