Hey, This Is Awesome!

Vibrant Video from the Submarines

Down periscope! A beautiful aquatic battlefield unfolds in the video for the Submarines' "Peace and Hate."

The Submarines' video for "Peace and Hate," a song that teems with synthetic bubbles and lovely girl-boy melodies, starts out peacefully: A surfaced submarine dives under water into a vibrant world of rich colors. It's a scene from straight from a children's bedtime story, until, that is, a missile blasts into the backside of one submarine and a vengeful octopus reaches through the porthole of another. But the occupants of the two submarines -- band members Blake Hazard and John Dragonetti -- are meant to be together, as not even the ocean's battlefield could keep them apart.
