Unreleased Elliott Smith Extras Emerge

News

Nearly two years after the suicide of Elliott Smith, more than 20 previously unreleased tracks have surfaced on the Internet. Several of the tracks were originally outtakes from the sessions leading up to the posthumously released From a Basement on a Hill, reports NME.com. Two of the tracks, called "Abused," and "Suicide Machine," were left off of Basement at the Smith family's request, NME said. Other titles available online include "The Worst Part Is Almost Over," "Placeholder, and "Georgia," some of which were recorded as early as 1996. Elliott Smith would have been 36 years old this past August.
