It's official: U2's latest album, No Line on the Horizon, is a Bono-fide hit, landing the No.1 spot on the Billboard charts.

Horizon sold 484,000 copies, the biggest one-week sales so far this year. This marks the band's seventh No. 1 release, matching Led Zeppelin for the second most chart-toppers ever. The Beatles hold first place with 19.

With tentative plans to drop Horizon's follow-up later this year, U2 has a chance to pass Led Zep. But U2 guitarist the Edge won't guarantee a 2009 release date. "We have talked about a second album. We certainly have loads of material," he told MTV News. "But we're still so delighted with this record [Horizon]. It's hard to put a timetable on it."

And drummer Larry Mullen Jr. was even more vague about the next record's release. "Will it be released? We don't know. But there is an album's worth of material... that's more the point."

Meanwhile, as the real Bono is promoting Horizon, an imposter sporting the singer's signature tinted shades infiltrated Miami -- and played a solo acoustic four-song set at a swanky club. He even signed autographs and answered questions from patrons: After the singer played "With or Without You," one woman told the faux Bono she lost her virginity to the song. "Well, you put it to good use,'' he said. [ Via MiamiHerald.com]
