U2's North American tour, sidelined earlier this year by Bono's serious back injury, is back on track for next year, with all tour stops rescheduled.
The tour kicks off May 21, 2011, in Denver, hits the West Coast, then scoots across the country, wrapping July 23 in Minneapolis. All tickets from the postponed 2010 shows will be honored at the 2011 dates. See the itinerary below -- more cities and dates may be added, according to a statement from LiveNation.
Bono underwent emergency spinal surgery May 21 in Germany after being admitted to a Munich hospital "in severe pain with partial paralysis in the lower leg," one of his doctors said at the time.
All went well in the O.R., but with recovery time estimated at a minimum of eight weeks, the Irish rockers opted to put off their planned North American gigs until next year. Their scheduled European dates for 2010 are continuing as scheduled, and begin August 6 in Torino, Italy.
By the time the 2011 leg concludes, the band's massively successful 360 Tour, which supported U2's latest album, No Line on the Horizon, will have been on the road for almost two full years. Its first run of U.S. dates kicked off in September 2009 at Chicago's Soldier Field. Read our review.
