The last we heard from Twin Peaks, they were on tour with the Orwells and SPIN photographer Daniel Topete, assembling a photo diary that featured shots of the two bands drinking in churches and playing lively, wild sets. Now, the Chicago-based foursome has unleashed a bright, hyper track called “Strawberry Smoothie.” The third single from Twin Peaks’ upcoming Wild Onion LP, the new song throws a dizzy nod to the Buzzcocks’ playfully rough-edged guitar-rock while frontman Caiden Lake James howls and pleads from the center of the mess.
