Turn Up the Vote: Rhymefest

SPIN Staff

When we stopped by Chicago's Grant Park for the Lollapalooza festival, we did more than soak up the rays and tunes, taking time to talk to a few artists about the most pressing issues in the 2008 presidential election. Hometown favorite and South Side rapper Rhymefest took a moment to real talk on the subject.

Below, check out the Midwest native relaxing at Chicago's Lollapalooza and articulately detailing the parallels he has personally experienced between the world's perception of America and subsequent economic and foreign policy woes.
