Sample Trent Reznor’s Creepy ‘Gone Girl’ Score

Gone Girl Trailer Trent Reznor Score David Fincher Atticus Ross Psychedelic Furs Richard Butler She

Director David Fincher continues his inspired collaboration with Nine Inch Nails boss Trent Reznor and pal Atticus Ross for the upcoming Gone Girl. That pair, of course, scored Oscar-winner The Social Network and the Grammy-grabbing The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, and snippets of their latest work can now be heard on FindAmazingAmy.com. The official site for the October 3 film appears as a mock-up of a local TV station’s coverage of the missing persons case unveiled in the best-selling novel by Gillian Flynn. Footage from Gone Girl appears intermittently.

In addition, the movie’s new trailer can be seen above. Therein, tense shots involving stars Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike, are juxtaposed with the joyful song “She,” sung by Psychedelic Furs frontman Richard Butler. It’s a pretty faithful cover of French singer Charles Aznavour’s 1974 original, which was a No. 1 single in the U.K. Nine Inch Nails tour with Soundgarden this summer.
