Tour Updates: Spoon, John Vanderslice

Indie rock outfit Spoon has announced a string of dates across the Eastern seaboard this spring. The band’s handful of assorted shows follow two gigs during Austin, TX’s SXSW festival March 14 and 17. From there, the band will perform in cities like Baltimore, Philadelphia, and New Haven before making festival appearances at Sasquatch! and Bonnaroo festivals this summer.

In additional tour news, Spoon contributor, singer/songwriter John Vanderslice has announced an extensive U.S. tour with opener St. Vincent (a.k.a. Annie Clark), kicking off April 6 at Portland, OR’s Doug Fir Lounge venue. From there, Vanderslice will head east, stopping in cities like Salt Lake City, Denver, and Grand Rapids, gig through out Eastern seaboard, and descend the coast. The tour will wrap with performances in southwestern cities like Austin and Phoenix before concluding with two shows in California.
