Tour Updates: Marilyn Manson, Bob Mould, Xiu Xiu, the Stills

After a five-year separation, Spin cover subject Marilyn Manson will rekindle his musical partnership onstage with former A Perfect Circle and Nine Inch Nails bassist, Twiggy, with whom Manson co-wrote decisive LPs Antichrist Superstar, Mechanical Animals, and Holywood.The two longtime pals and collaborators, plus Manson’s backing band,will unroll the U.S. leg of the Rape of the World Tour Orlando Jan. 1,and in a statement, Manson sums up its expectations with a few lyrics:”Everyone will suffer now.” Can’t wait!

Yet another gem joining the flock of musician migrating across the country this spring, alt-rock pioneer Bob Mould will tour behind his forthcoming Anti- debut, District Line. In support of their sixth album, Women As Lovers, due Jan. 29 via Kill Rock Stars, art rock outfit Xiu Xiuwill launch a lengthy U.S. outing as a newfound four-piece, set to kickoff March 3 and stroll through each corner of the nation — however,sadly, sans an appearance at Austin’s SXSW. Greasing their musical engines, and ensuring they meet SXSW’s notoriously probing audiences with their A game, Montreal’s the Stills— currently recording LP3 with producer Gus Van Go — will embark on abrief tour of the eastern seaboard.
