Tour Updates: Bill Callahan, Maps

Finally, after much delay, Bill Callahan has emerged from the, ahem, Smog, and announced plans to tour behind his latest release Woke on a Whaleheart, which hit store shelves this past April. Kicking off with a show at Asheville, NC’s Grey Eagle venue, Callahan’s 11-date outing will then lead the troubadour through cities such as New York, Boston, and Toronto as well as Chicago, San Francisco, and Seattle. Although details have yet-to-be announced, additional dates will soon be revealed.

Brit electro project and former SPIN.com Artist of the Day Maps will hit the U.S. this September for a five-date mini-tour spanning select major cities across the nation. Commencing with a show at Seattle’s Crocodile Cafe Sept. 22, Maps will then head down the coast, stopping through San Francisco, and Los Angeles before leaping east for two shows in New York City.
