Tool, Dave Matthews Booked to Headline New Rivers Edge Fest

Tool

Saint Paul, Minnesota, just got the Dover, Delaware treatment — its own fest, the Live Nation-presented River’s Edge Music Festival. Dave Matthews Band and Tool will headline the event’s debut June 23-24 at Harriet Island.

The bill is legally required to include the Flaming Lips, so they are playing. Puscifer, Delta Spirit, and (Minnesota natives!) Poliça are also on the lineup. Coheed and Cambria, Brand New, and Motion City Soundtrack will be there, for the post-punk crowd, too. Tickets are the cheapest we’ve seen so far — $99 for a two-day wristband — and go on sale next Friday (April 13) at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster, LiveNation.com, and the festival’s website. If you’re a Saint Paul resident, you can even get yours without service charges if you pick them up at the Xcel Energy Center box office in the first week.
