  • Timbaland has released a new track with Missy Elliott titled “Take Ur Clothes Off.” The song kicks off the producer’s series dubbed “Timbaland Thursdays,” which will feature a new song each week. Head over here to hear it.

  • Trish Keenan, frontwoman for the experimental electronic band Broadcast, died this morning due to complications from pneumonia. The singer had been hospitalized for the illness earlier this week. [Warp Records]

  • Canadian rockers Broken Social Scene will webcast an upcoming show at New York’s Terminal 5, set to take place on January 18. [YouTube]

  • Green Day have confirmed a March 22 release date for their second live album, Awesome as F**k. The CD-DVD includes the title track from their abandoned album Cigarettes and Valentines plus hits like “Jesus of Suburbia.”

  • Hear Dom collaborate with San Diego buzz band Cults on the gorgeous new single “Bowl Cut,” which will also be released as a 7-inch on February 8 [Pitchfork]

  • Gross! Slipknot’s Corey Taylor has revealed that he wrote the lyrics to the band’s first record in the bathroom of a porn shop where he once worked. “I would always have my notebook and pen, and for some reason every time I’d go to the bathroom I’d start writing something great,” he said.
