T.I. Goes Free, Morrissey Announces Tour + More

  • T.I. was released from prison early yesterday, after the rapper spent 11 months in an Arkansas jail for a parole violation. While T.I. will serve out his sentence in a halfway house, he already has a book deal and a reality show in the works. VH1’s show will follow his days outside of prison, and will premiere in December. His book — a fictional tale of two childhood friends titled Power & Beauty — will be published in October.   • Morrissey has announced his first U.S. tour in two years for this fall. The 11-date trek kicks off on November 10 in Chicago, IL and wraps up on December 1 in Oakland, CA. The former Smiths frontman will also perform six dates in Mexico. [Consequence of Sound]

  • James Blake will release a new EP, titled Enough Thunder, on October 10. The set features the British dub-step musician’s collaboration with Bon Iver, his cover of Joni Mitchell‘s “A Case of You,” and four other unannounced tracks. [Pitchfork]
