T.I. will be released from a Georgia prison on August 31, after serving a sentence for parole violation stemming from a drug arrest. The rapper will be let out one month early, and will enter a halfway house. After releasing new music via gummy fetuses and teaming up with Lightning Bolt, Flaming Lips have revealed their next project: a six-hour-long song. Frontman Wayne Coyne made the announcement via Twitter, and also posted teaser videos of the track. No word on its release date.

Chris Cornell has released a new solo song titled “The Keeper,” which will be the lead track from his soundtrack to the forthcoming movie Machine Gun Preacher. The Jesus and Mary Chain‘s six studio albums will get the deluxe reissue treatment from Demon Music Group this fall. The albums, including the 1985 debut Psychocandy, will include B-sides, demos, and radio appearances. Check out a 3-D preview of the editions here.
