  • T.I. will be released from a Georgia prison on August 31, after serving a sentence for parole violation stemming from a drug arrest. The rapper will be let out one month early, and will enter a halfway house. Expect T.I. to start recording new music soon. “I’m going all the way back to square one, like I’m fresh in the game and never sold a record,” he said in a blog post on his website TrapMuzik. [MTV]

  • Chris Cornell has released a new solo song titled “The Keeper,” which will be the lead track from his soundtrack to the forthcoming movie Machine Gun Preacher.
