Watch Thom Yorke Sing, Strum, and Shimmy at London DJ Gig with Nigel Godrich

Thom Yorke, Nigel Godrich, Atoms for Peace, London

Be all the more jealous that Thom Yorke and Radiohead producer/Atoms for Peace colleague Nigel Godrich’s live DJ sets sold out just about instantly. Yorke didn’t just DJ at the first of those three dates, held in London on Friday night. As At Ease reports, he also sang, and he and Godrich played some of the songs live.

See the Radiohead frontman croon, unwind a few spindly guitar lines, and — of course — dance in the fan-shot video above, which includes “S.A.D.,” “Atoms for Peace,” “Unless,” and “Reverse Running.” Some of it’s hard to make out, given the nature of the video, but the performance carries over Amok‘s twitchy textures nicely. And Yorke’s patented, pony-tailed twerking is always endearing. Just as long as he doesn’t have to pay Baauer royalties.

Atoms for Peace will also be playing a few proper shows, although until any further dates are released you’ll have to trek to Germany, Serbia, or Slovakia. And don’t miss SPIN resident Radiohead expert Daniel Kreps’ look at Yorke’s 20 biggest influences.
