Thom Yorke’s ‘Brain in a Bottle’ Video Features, Yes, Twitchy Thom Yorke Dancing

Thom Yorke "Brain in a Bottle" video 'Tomorrow's Modern Boxes' Torrent Album

Remember when Thom Yorke blindsided the music world with a new album that he’s releasing through BitTorrent? It happened like 90 minutes ago, so you should, unless you were sleeping or working or something. Anyway, not long after the announcement, the Radiohead surprise-master posted the Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes bundle on the file-sharing site, then added bonus of a video for the first track, “Brain in a Bottle.” It’s a predictably glitchy affair, with Yorke featured in a series of frantic cuts of him singng, staring straight into the camera, and posing while wearing with boxing gloves.

You can buy the whole eight-track album for $6 from BitTorrent, or you can shell out £30 for the deluxe vinyl edition. The snazzy packaging features sleeves that “are printed with a metallic silver laminate then multi-tone black and a striking neon green; the whole is enclosed in a bespoke anti-static shield bag — a metallised laminated material usually used by the electronics industry for protecting components from electrostatic interference. The bag is printed with neon green on both sides, and has a resealable grip closure.” Sounds like something you’d wear on your head to keep the government from spying on your brainwaves, which would make it worth every penny.
