The Thermals Announce String of Tour Dates

Portland, Oregon punks the Thermals are gearing up to take the road this February for a seven-date tour hitting major cities across the U.S., a Sub Pop spokesperson has confirmed. Continuing to float on the success of 2006’s The Body, the Blood, the Machine, the forthcoming tour will mark the Thermals’ first headlining stint behind the album, and the band will have Brooklyn-based trio the Big Sleep open all East Coast shows. Thermals fans can expect new additions to their set list this time around. “We’re gonna start it off right by working on new songs in January and February before leaving for tour,” bassist Kathy Foster wrote in a Myspace blog posting.
