If there’s any band that can get away with a video that grotesquely depicts — and arguably celebrates — murder, it’s San Francisco’s Thee Oh Sees, whose lacerating fuzz-rock evokes all sorts of primal urges. They put this theory to the test with the clip for new single “Toe Cutter – Thumb Buster,” which follows a man who commits a series of murders all in one parking lot. The track is off the band’s new album Floating Coffin, which was released last week and features album art that is similarly terrifying.
Thee Oh Sees are fresh off a stint at Coachella, where they performed during the first weekend with fellow Bay Area guitar hero Ty Segall.
