Thee Oh Sees Bring Mythical Mid-Life Crisis to Life in ‘Minotaur’ Video

thee oh sees, minotaur

When Thee Oh Sees shared “Minotaur,” the closing track off the San Francisco garage geniuses’ upcoming Floating Coffins album (out April 16 via Castle Face Records), SPIN’s Chris Martins described the track as being marked by “an off-kilter upbeat swoon.” The same can be said of the noodler’s new fantastical music video, which stars, ahem, a minotaur. He isn’t your usual labyrinth-dwelling half-beast-half-bro, though — this tattooed creature instead is caught in a mid-life crisis. He shrugs through his work, daydreams about vacations on the beach with his lady love (in this case a kidnapped damsel), and sits around, watching television, waiting for something to happen.
