'Who Needs You' EP is out (and streaming for free) now

SPIN Staff

Best New Artist alums the Orwells are no stranger to the spotlight. They rang in this year with a highly memorable Letterman performance that ended with frontman Mario Cuomo testing the integrity of one of the chairs next to the host. Of course, then came Future Islands, but these Chicago garage-punks deserve their plaudits for live prowess. Experience the phenomenon above, by hitting the play-button on "The Righteous One," which was part of their sweltering set for SPIN at our annual SXSW day party at Stubb's. Watch that screecher above, and stream the Who Needs You EP when you're done. After, that is, you catch performance clips from Cloud Nothings, Radkey, and Temples.
