Recent Breaking Out stars the Men have a brightly shining and bracingly intense new album out, fittingly called New Moon, so it’s about time that the Brooklyn five-piece had a proper music video. We first heard the noisy pastoral punk squaller “I Saw Her Face” last month, but the band has since dusted off the single for a solid visual treatment. The band directs the above clip, which was shot entirely using VHS video cameras and afterwards edited using modern means. There’s footage from the road, a gnarly pink sunset, a smoke-spewing guitar, and a cigarette-smoking monk among numerous other odd highlights. Each band member also gets a little individual (green) screen time, and bassist Ben Greenberg gets a drumstick thrown at him. According to singer Mark Perro, “We were trying to make a video like Earth Wind & Fire’s ‘Let’s Groove.'” So when you’re done with “I Saw Her Face,” ride with this:
