The Faint's 2001 album Danse Macabre not only helped put Saddle Creek on the map, it defined the emerging dance-punk sound and is now fondly remembered as a classic of the era. Thankfully, the band, too, recognizes that record's standing heft, as they're not only preparing a deluxe reissue, but will be hitting the road come November 8 to play Danse Macabre in its entirety at every North American stop along the way.

The above clip finds the Faint performing "Agenda Suicide" at the tiny Brothers Lounge in their hometown of Omaha in late 2001. The black and white footage and blown-out bass only seem to enhance the natural pomp and punk of the song, which here ends in squalling chaos after frontman Todd Fink nearly stomps through the floor, figuratively speaking (as far as we can tell). Naturally, this bodes quite well for things to come.

Speaking of, the Danse Macabre Deluxe Reissue lands November 19. This video hails from the DVD portion — further "archival footage from the band, live projection videos from the era’s tour dates, the 'Agenda Suicide' video directed by MK12, and more" — which comes with both the 2CD (limited to 5,000) version and the 2CD/2LP version (3,000) of the set. Also included: six bonus tracks and extensive new liner notes with lots of photos. Details below.
