Murder ballad aficionado Colin Meloy hung out in Brooklyn today, busking to promote the Decemberists’ upcoming record, What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful World. Meloy was by himself, but he treated pedestrians to a new song, “Make You Better.” The performance was, naturally, promptly recorded and Instagramed.
The new album is their first since 2011’s The King is Dead, and a mural of the new project’s cover was painted on the wall behind Meloy.
