The Books Inspire Brilliant Dance Video ‘Yo No Se’

The Books Yo No Se Video Deafkids Dance Lemon of Pink

The Books may have called it quits in 2012, but that doesn’t mean the New York-born experimental duo can’t continue to inspire others with their incredibly inventive approach to arrangement and instrumentation. Above you’ll find a brand new video for a dance piece dubbed “Yo No Sé.” Choreographed by Alan Danielson and directed by Natalia Chinchilla, the vibrant performance is built around two tracks by the Books, who are now backing it as an official clip. Each cut hails from one of the duo’s gilded full-length classics. We open with “Explanation Mark” from 2003’s The Lemon of Pink and quickly move into “Deafkids,” which closed out their debut album Thought for Food (2001). Watch that above, then head to Temporary Residence to review recent rarities releases by the Books. Co-founder Nick Zammuto is hard at work on his second solo album.
