Watch Tears for Fears ‘Creep’ on Radiohead’s Legacy

Tears For Fears Creep Radiohead Cover Concert Portland Performance

Tears for Fears are currently in the middle of a pretty exciting comeback tour, their first on American soil in three years. The English new-wave hitmakers made a stop at Portland’s Project Pabst Festival over the weekend, at which they busted out a sturdy cover of Radiohead’s breakout single “Creep,” seen above.

First thing’s first: the band doesn’t do much to change Thom Yorke and Co.’s 1992 original, but what they do, um, do sounds robust nonetheless. Clearly there’s still life left in the 33-year-old band, although we’d probably list this low-ish on a definitive rundown of “Creep” covers.

The band does seem awfully intent on proving their continued relevance, and it’s paid off nicely. Last winter, Tears covered songs by Arcade Fire, Hot Chip, and Animal Collective. Their recent album, Songs From the Big Chair, will be rereleased on November 10 via a six-disc “remix and B-side”-featuring deluxe edition.
