Suspect Identified in Jam Master Jay Murder

Ronald “Tinard” Washington has been named by federal prosecutors as a suspect in the Oct. 30, 2002 murder of Run-DMC’s Jam Master Jay, a.k.a. Jason Mizell, Billboard.com reports. Reports claim Washington acted as the second gunman, standing watch and forcing bystanders to the ground while another unidentified gunman shot and killed Mizell in his Hollis, Queens-based studio.

In addition, Washington has been cited by authorities as a suspect in the gang-land style murder of Live Squad member and former Tupac Shakur collaborator Randy “Stretch” Walker. According to an AllHipHop.com source, Walker was gun downed when Washington was hired by revenge-seeking drug dealers to kill the Queens-based rapper due to his stealing of drugs, thus potentially settling popular beliefs that he was murdered, exactly one-year to the day later, for orchestrating the Nov. 30, 1994 robbery and shooting of Tupac Shakur at Manhattan’s Quad Studios. >> Listen to Run-DMC on Napster
