Suge Knight Charged With Murder After Hit and Run

Suge Knight

Yesterday afternoon, former Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight drove away from a film set in Compton, California, allegedly killing one man and injuring two bystanders with his vehicle.

According to a TMZ report, Knight was embroiled in an argument with security guards shortly after arriving on the set of a Straight Outta Compton film shoot that also involved Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, and Game. Knight then allegedly fled the scene in his car and struck bystander Terry Carter while shifting into reverse.

TMZ has posted a video of health officials trying to administer CPR to Carter, who has died. Carter is believed to be a friend of Knight’s who was not involved in the fight. His involvement in the film is unknown at press time. Actor Cle “Bone” Sloan (Training Day) is one of the two other alleged victims, who is currently hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries. TMZ‘s report stated that Knight feared for his health when conflict arose between him and the security guards. Knight was shot six times at Chris Brown’s pre-VMAs party last August.

Following the incident, Knight’s truck was found abandoned in a parking lot and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department issued a warrant for Knight’s arrest considering him “armed and dangerous.” On the advice of his lawyer, the former label CEO turned himself in this morning and has been charged with murder, with his bail set at $2 million.
