Strokes, Vedder, Homme Cover Marvin Gaye

The NYC rockers have recorded a cover of Marvin Gaye's "Mercy Mercy Me" with special guests Eddie Vedder and Josh Homme. It's planned as a B-side.

The Strokes have recorded a cover of Marvin Gaye's "Mercy Mercy Me" with guest performances by Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder (vocals) and Queens of the Stone Age's Josh Homme (drums), Billboard reports. The track is set to appear as the B-side for the Strokes' "You Only Live Once" single and should be out in mid-July. At press time, spokespersons for the Strokes and Pearl Jam would not confirm the collaboration.
