The Stills Smooth Their Feathers

In anticipation of their follow-up to 2003’s The Logic Will Break Your Heart, the Stills are kicking off a two-month tour, complete with a stop at SXSW and a smattering of Canadian dates.

The band will get things started North of the border, on March 7 in Guelph, Ontario. From there, the Stills will hit cities including Boston, New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Montreal, before heading back up to the Great White North to close the tour in London, Ontario.

Along the way, the Stills will perform tracks of their new album, Without Feathers (Vice, May 9), which features cameos from Kevin Drew of Broken Social Scene (“She’s Walkin’ Out”), Emily Haines of Metric (“Baby Blues”), and Sam Roberts (“Oh Shoplifter”), according to Pitchfork.

Live, the band is similarly all about bringing new talent into the mix. Expect a few lineup changes if you catch the Stills out on the road. Former Sea Ray drummer Colin Brooks will take over for Dave Hamelin, who has emerged from behind the kit to replace Greg Paquet on guitar. Liam O’Neil, previously just a touring keyboardist, has been added to the band’s regular lineup. Got all that?
