St. Jerome's Laneway Festival, an annual musical showcase that spans three countries and seven cities, will make its North American debut in the metropolitan Detroit area this September, organizers revealed today (March 15).

Laneway will set up camp at Meadow Brook Music Festival in Rochester Hills, Michigan, on September 14. "We continue to expand our vision for Laneway and the Laneway Festival Detroit is just the next step," festival founders and partners Danny Rogers and Jerome Borazio said in a statement. "We couldn’t have done this without Palace Sports & Entertainment as our global partner and we couldn't have picked a better city. When you hear 'Detroit,' you think Motown, you think rock and roll and you think of great music. We want Laneway to be a part of that conversation."

Palace Sports & Entertainment and Paradigm Talent Agency were confirmed as the event's U.S. promoters. Currently, Laneway holds installments in Singapore, New Zealand (Auckland), and Australia (Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth). This year's run of performances, which took place from January 26 to February 9, included sets from Japandroids, Bat For Lashes, Cloud Nothings, the Men, Real Estate, Jessie Ware, Divine Fits, and many more.

The Detroit lineup will be unveiled in the coming weeks.
