There are many ways to promote an album, but we have to give Jason Narducy originality points for the way he’s getting the word out about his band Split Single, which also includes Spoon’s Britt Daniel and Superchunk’s Jon Wurster. After releasing a trio of tracks from the group’s debut album, Narducy opted to forego a traditional music video and instead now unveils a fake documentary about his unique physical attributes titled “The Sexiest Elbows in Rock Music.” In addition to his bandmates, the video features cameos by Dave Grohl, Bob Mould (whose current band includes both Narducy and Wurster), Margaret Cho (who sucks on his ‘bwos), Tim Meadows, and Fred Armisen in his Ian Rubbish guise. Split Single’s Fragmented World is due out April 1.
