This week, Metallica announced a new album collaboration with Velvet Underground rock icon Lou Reed, SPIN gave readers the rundown of the 30 best summer tours, ranging from Rihanna to Black Lips, and Eddie Vedder proved he can still rock out, even on a ukulele. Meanwhile, Arcade Fire opened up in a new documentary, Bon Iver released a mysterious new music video, and the Flaming Lips performed in a cemetery at 6 A.M. with Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros.
