SPIN's annual SXSW bash at Stubb's BBQ is always a hot ticket, and this year it was also just plain hot. Like, over 90 degrees hot without much shade, cooking pasty faced East Coasters low-n-slow, much like the racks of ribs in the Stubb's kitchen. But our lineup was up to the challenge, leading off with shape-shifting British outfit Switches. Fresh from their SPIN.com tour blog (in which they chronicled the culinary delights of life on tour in America), the quartet totally grilled the early-arriving audience with nuggets from their debut disc, Lay Down the Law, which arrives on U.S. shelves tomorrow.

Stay tuned to SPIN.com for more video from our Stubb's party -- also featuring the likes of X, Vampire Weekend, the Raveonettes, and the Whigs -- and enjoy two tunes from Switches, plus their backstage interview, right here:
