Spin, DKNY Jeans Team for ‘I Turn My Camera On’

On Tuesday April 10, Spin and DKNY Jeans will honor decisive moments in rock music history with I Turn My Camera On, a one of a kind night celebrating definitive photographs of rock music and its icons, ranging from Björk to David Byrne and Kurt Cobain to David Lee Roth, all while contributing to music’s preservation. Every showcased photograph, including shots from seasoned music photographers such as Alexei Hay and Terry Richardson as well as celebrity contributions from Michael Stipe and Moby, will be auctioned off to benefit the VH1 Save the Music Foundation, a project aiming to restore music education to America’s public schools and to raise awareness of music’s positive impact.

I Turn My Camera On, co-sponsored by DKNY Jeans, a long-standing creator of rock’n’roll’s quintessential denim threads, is presented with support from Perrier, Retna, and the Humble Arts Foundation. The event will go down at New York City’s Milk Gallery (450 West 15th Street) from 7-9 P.M. and members of the Kaiser Chiefs and Teddybears are booked as guest DJs.

Press inquiries should be directed to Elaine Garza.
