SPIN and Citi came together last Friday (Nov. 21) in collaboration with Quiksilver to host an exclusive event in celebration of Kelly Slater’s latest book, For the Love. The gathering featured young So Cal singer/songwriter Brett Dennen, who performed songs off his latest release, Hope for the Hopeless.

Guests enjoyed complimentary cocktails and catering courtesy of Wahoo's, Hanson Sodas, Ketel One vodka, and California based winery, Barefoot Wine. Citi cardholders in attendance scored tickets through Citi Private Pass; their exclusive ticket packages also included an autographed copy of For the Love.

Another highlight of the night was the Kelly Slater Foundation's silent action, which featured autographed photos, surfboards, and other Kelly Slater memorabilia. The auction was a great success, raising thousands for various charities including the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Surfers Healing, and Surfriders Save Trestles.
