Northampton shredders Speedy Ortiz were responsible for one of 2013's unsung gems. The fuzz-addled alt-rock reviver known as Major Arcana spoke to Sadie Dupuis' promise as an ace songwriter and band boss, and 2014 should find her delivering in spades. On February 14, the four-piece returns with their Real Hair EP, via Carpark. We've already heard the aptly named "Everything's Bigger," and now there's "American Horror" to consider. Below, Dupuis capitalizes on her knack for sour-sweet melody and introspective lyricism. And naturally, there's enough shaggy guitar grind to fuel your head-banging needs.
