Sparklehorse Rides into SpinHouse
It Happened Last Night
Touring in support of his fourth long-player, Dreamt for Light Years in the Belly of a Mountain, Sparklehorse (ne Mark Linkous) treated a private gathering at another installment of SpinHouse Live, presented by Newcastle Brown Ale. Though battling the flu, Linkous, along with his touring band, ambled through an emotionally powerful selection of introspective and heartfelt tracks. His token sandpapery vocal delivery was perfectly complemented by a somber musical atmosphere of tasty guitar plucks and rollicking piano trills that proved why he made Spin's 40 Best Albums of 2006 list.
