Soundgarden's Superunknown turns 20 this year, which means the requisite Super Deluxe Edition reissue is on the way. The impending anniversary also means that the grunge giants will perform the classic LP in full at this year's South By Southwest conference. As Stereogum points out, Soundgarden will, for the first time ever, play Superunknown from front to back as part of the upcoming iTunes Festival at SXSW, a five-day showcase that runs from March 11 through 15.

Fans who gain access to Austin's ACL Live at the Moody Theater on March 13 will be able to marvel at "Spoonman," "Black Hole Sun," "Fell on Black Days," "The Day I Tried to Live," and 11 other Soundgarden standards from '94. Other artists booked for the iTunes Fest include Coldplay, Zedd, London Grammar, Imagine Dragons, Keith Urban, and Pitbull. Performances will be live-streamed and available on demand through the iTunes Store, iTunes Radio, Apple TV, and on Apple devices. Tickets are free and available to anyone already registered for SXSW. For details on how to enter a drawing to win tickets, head over to the SXSW website.

As for the forthcoming Superunknown reissue, look out for a comprehensive package including B-sides, demos, rehearsal performances, photos, and "reimagined" cover art on June 3. And expect a set of five 10-inch records collecting singles and B-sides from the Superunknown era on April 19, otherwise known as Record Store Day 2014.
