It seems like it was just yesterday that we were talking to Soundgarden about their first album in 16 years, King Animal, but 2014 will mark the 20th anniversary of the Seattle-born band's beloved Superunknown, and they're ready to look back on all that loud love. On June 3, the album that gave the world "Spoonman" and "Black Hole Sun" (okay, let's not forget "Fell on Black Days") will get a Super Deluxe Edition complete with a remaster, a Blu-Ray Audio 51. Surround Sound version, B-Sides, demos, and rehearsal performances. Hear a practice version of "The Day I Tried to Live" above, right now.

But that's only the audio. The insane packaging can be seen below. That's a hardbound book with a lenticular cover, and it includes liner notes by David Fricke, a bunch of photos, and "reimagined" cover art by the band's go-to collaborator Josh Graham. The thing will be available in a pared-down Deluxe Edition featuring two CDs, and on vinyl — a 200-gram-per double-LP gatefold package featuring the remastered tracks. Furthermore, Record Store Day 2014 will bring a set of five 10-inch records amassing the Superunknown-adjacent singles and B-sides. That's on April 19, but you knew that already.
