Watch Soundgarden Thrash Peru With New Drummer

Soundgarden Matt Chamberlain Live Video Peru

As previously reported, Soundgarden had to give up drummer Matt Cameron to his side-project — a little thing called Pearl Jam — for the Superunknown greats’ 2014 tour. Now, via Blabbermouth, we can see the Seattle grunge gods in action with their replacement skins-hitter Matt Chamberlain. The man has played with everyone from Pearl Jam (circa Ten) to Tori Amos (for quite awhile) and contributed to albums by Fiona Apple and the Wallflowers (for which he won a Grammy) amongst many others. The footage above (“Spoonman”) and below hails from Soundgarden’s March 27 show in Lima, Peru, and it finds the band in top form. This, of course, bodes mighty well for their forthcoming dates with Nine Inch Nails and Death Grips.
