"It's the stress that I feel about not wanting them to have to go through those things," says Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell in a new exclusive clip, "but obviously knowing it's gonna happen." Seated along with drummer Matt Cameron on a pair of stools in the lobby of the Moore Theatre in Seattle, Cornell could be talking about the pressures of re-upping with his legendary grunge outfit. Instead he's sharing the meaning behind the ominous new song "Bones of Birds," which is featured on the band's upcoming album, King Animal, due out November 13. Cornell explains that the song is about watching one's children lose their innocence. When kids "learn about the real world," he says, "it's never a good thing."
