A month ago, we hipped you to the news that Sonic Youth are releasing a new old live album culled from their Bad Moon Rising days, and featuring early versions of later EVOL classics. In the time since, the band's been on a nostalgia spree, posting old videos and performances to their increasingly vital YouTube channel (check out their Letterman performance of "Bull in the Heather" on the same night James Carville was a guest!). But their most recent share comes from the forthcoming Smart Bar — Chicago 1985 LP, out November 14. Below, you can here the live set's third track, "Intro/Brave Men Run (In My Family)." It's a gloriously stormy harbinger of things to come.
