On December 9, the Smashing Pumpkins will release Monuments to an Elegy, which will feature their noisey new single, “One and All.” In an interview with the Huffington Post today, Billy Corgan claimed that the song wrote itself — let’s see Courtney Love try and take credit for this one — and noted, “It’s been a long time since someone patted me on the back.” Sounds rough.
The new track isn’t quite a return to the Pumpkins’ glory days, but “One and All” does boast a shoegaze-set-on-overdrive sheen. Stream the song below via Huffington Post.
