  • Canadian outfit Simple Plan have teamed up with Rivers Cuomo for a new track titled "Can't Keep My Hands Off You," a caffeinated slab of pop-punk that features the Weezer frontman singing about Fruit Roll-Ups. The track will be featured on Simple Plan's still-untitled fourth album, due out June 21. [Entertainment Weekly]

  • Charlie Sheen is looking to jump-start a music career: the troubled actor is teaming up with Snoop Dogg for his first single, which doesn't have a release date. Filter's Rob Patterson is set to produce the song. [Billboard]

  • Eighties pop act the Go-Go's will hit the road this summer for a reunion tour and will reissue their 1981 debut album to commemorate its 30th anniversary. The 23-date tour kicks off May 29 in Hershey, PA and wraps August 28 in Austin, TX. [SoundSpike]

  • Yo La Tengo have announced another round of tour dates for their Spinning Wheel trek, which features the band offering on-stage high-jinks like recreating an entire Seinfeld episode on the spot. The 10-date leg kicks of May 10 in Brooklyn, NY and ends June 26 in Chicago. [Matador Records]

  • Can't bear to hear overnight sensation Rebecca Black and her canned pop hit "Friday"? One enterprising studio whiz has given her the "slowcore" treatment by slowing down the song and expanding it to an epic 21-minutes, a similar tactic employed to Justin Bieber's "U Smile" earlier this summer. The results are oddly transfixing and beautiful. Hear it below. [via The Guardian]
