Americans with an appetite for atmospheric Icelandic music will soon be satiated: Sigur Ros has announced a slew of North American tour dates in early 2006. The band is currently on tour in Europe supporting their recently released album, Takk, after playing several U.S. dates earlier this year. Tickets for the American dates will not go on sale until later this month. The tour kicks off in Portland, Maine on February 6. Sigur Ros plays London’s Brixton Academy on Wednesday to a sold out crowd.
